Could I use a kiddie pool for a temp, frog home?

I have two frogs, not sure what kind, but they are big, and was wondering if until I could rehome them (you see, I had them so I could see them grow up, I would keep them, but I do not have a fish pond, or a nice place to put them.) if I could put them in a kiddie pool. No, I wouldn't have a filter. If this works, how long can I keep them in there? I already know to let the water sit for AT LEAST 48 hours.
