Is this a safe new relationship? help?

So a couple days ago I met a friend on facebook we we both talking about a real committed relationship we wanted. We started textin and talkin on the phone and decided to give us a shot. He lives in vegas and I'm in seattle he is moving back to seattle less than a month and we never met in person. And barely know a lot about eachother but we both had the same feeling when we started talking. Any advice or answers about this???
