No I have to insulate my AC lines?

Yes, at a minimum the suction line(the bigger one) should be insulated. Not only because it condensates and drips all over, but it also helps the refrigerant to stay in vapor form on its way back to the compressor. Its not a huge deal if it is not, if your system is charged properly its not as important in a residential application.
