Is Hoppes #9 good for taking light copper marks out of a glock barrel?

Got some light copper marks, thinking about buying a bore snake and running it threw for the final cleaning step with some hoppes. Also, does it hurt a glock to shoot it sideways? Buddy though it would be funny and dumped a clip out "gangster style", that would be the last time he touches my firearms, Thank you have a good night.
