sounds like you are over your head. The incoming power is the line on the gfi. if it is backwards it won't work right. the load side is like the load on a tow truck it carries the stuff you want it to. any black from there must have it's accompanying white on the load side as well. a gfi looks at the black wire and says is this the same as the white coming back. if not it turns off. likely you put your line and loads reversed try that first. past that i fear you are lost.

Hanging out with an old friend is now awkward?

Ok, I really need to ask this question because I felt super guilty about this. Just for starters I'm in grade 9, and it's almost the end of the year. Through the year I was friends with one girl(let's call her Sarah). Me and Sarah were really close, always walks together to cl, and at lunch ect. But a couple weeks ago I started to get a little bored. It was nice and hot and sunny outside, but all Sarah wanted to do was sit inside and eat. 2nd Degree Burglary; What should I expect?

This is my first offense. I live in a duplex. A few months ago I overheard the tenant on the other side of me engaged in a phone conversation in which she exclaimed that "My house should be ready for me to move into in April". So about three weeks into March I witness the tenant loading her belongings into a vehicle, I umed that she was moving into the forementioned "house". A few weeks go by without anyone coming or going from the "vacant" unit. I decide to go over and take a look and see if I can find a cabinet door that will replace one that is broken in my unit. Both units are connected via a crawl space in the attic in which I have never been before. Upon entering the "vacant" unit, it appears littered with trash, most of the items in decent condition appear to be packed in tubs and boxes as if meant to be taken somewhere, and in dissaray as if it had been abandoned in a hurry. However, I do spot some items that do not completely appear to be trash, just some decent looking mirrors, picture frames, wall art, and child's toys. I decide someone may be coming back for the items so I leave out the back door and lock it. A few more weeks go by and still noone comes or goes, so now I make the mistake of uming that she is gone for good, and decide to take some of these belongings back to my unit to use myself and for my daughter, not to sell or anything. About three more weeks later our refrigerator stops working, being as I was extremely late on rent I don't bother asking my landlord to replace it as I already know what the answer is, I decide to store some items in the refrigerator next door, so as not to spoil. The refridgerator is disgusting with some old rotten meat in the freezer so I go ahead and clean it up well and keep some sodas over there, and begin to make regular trips when I need something to eat or drink. A neighbor friend of the former tenant catches on and calls the police after a trip over there to get a soda. The police surround my house, my never have being arrested before I am obviously nervous and take a while but eventually open the door. I fully cooperate with the police, being honest when they ask me about some missing items I immediately give them up and tell them I was under the impression that the items were abandoned. I was placed under arrest and taken to the city jail on a 24 hour hold. The next morning I speak with the detective and give him the same exact story you have read here. I am returned to my cell while he speaks with the prosecutors. about an hour or so later I am released paying no bond pending further investigation. The estimated value of the property is said to be about $200-300. The victim turned out to be in another state for a surgery this whole time and wants to press charges. Does Upton Hill Regional Park in Arlington,VA still have a lap pool for swimmers?

I need to know because I want to train for my high school swim team over the summer and it'd be cheaper if I bought a summer p, but if they don't have a lap pool, then I'd be wasting money. I know there are two slides, a kiddie pool, and a giant bucket, but I am wondering if they removed the lap pool like they removed the diving pool a couple years ago.

Hey...I have the same kind of turtle. I'm kind of to lazy to look at the link...but as long as the outside of the pool is hard and not tear-able (really strong beak on the turtles). The habitat being outside SERIOUSLY depends on what kind of climate you live in. If you live in the southern United States where is is warm year round...then that should be fine. Don't let rain get into the pool. Also make sure the water level is low enough so that they can't climb out of the pool. They are really good climbers, and are hard to find once they are loose (if they do get loose look in corners and dark areas). Also watch their behavior. I have only one turtle now, but a couple years ago I had two in the same tank, and one of them committed suicide by starving itself, because i refused to share food with the other turtle. Speaking of food i have noticed that the turtles prefer if you get floating food and put it in the water instead of somewhere dry. Hope this helps ( and that this wasn't to long). Tips for potty training a very fluffy puppy in summer?

We added a Keeshond puppy to our family about 10 days ago. He is about 9 weeks old now. He's very young, so I don't expect potty perfection yet, but he was doing pretty good about not going in the house. He has little signals that let me know when he's about to go, and sometimes he'll even whine at the front door, which is great. However, we've had some setbacks in the past few days. The weather here has been insane - 90+ temps and ridiculous humidity - and he's a cold-weather dog with a double coat. He HATES being outside in this heat. Now, when I see his little signals or when he cries, I take him outside and he immediately drags me back to the front door and whines to go inside the house. The weather bothers him too much for him to even stay in the yard long enough to pee. The problem with this is, once I let him back into the house he immediately goes on the floor. We went from having 0-1 accidents per day to 4-6 accidents per day! It is getting frustrating because we were doing so well and I can see all our progress disappearing. A friend said I should chain him in the yard and just wait until he goes, but I hate to make him suffer like that - it is truly awful watching this poor pup try to cope with the heat. I put a little kiddie pool in the yard to keep him cool, but even the relief of the water hasn't encouraged him to pee in the yard - he just gets out of the pool when he's cooled off and runs to the front door again. I'm almost considering getting him shaved! Has anyone else had a similar experience? How did you handle it? Thanks!

I found have a painting signed by Max Karp. Ive done research and everything i find made by him is done by enamel on copper, which he did not start painting this way until the 60's. The painting i have is done on canvas and is dated 1930, which means he was 14 when he painted this picture. At&t Data Plan Concerns?

I purchased a Blackberry Torch from AT&T a few days ago replacing my Samsung Impression (which was not a smartphone). I was concerned when the at&t rep who helped me at the store said that they no longer have unlimited data plans and I went with the 2gb. However, after doing some research I have found various people mentioning that if you were a customer who had unlimited data service before they changed their plan that you could keep that the same and use it with your new phone. I DID have unlimited data on my Samsung Impression and obviously had no worries about using data and surfing the web. The at&t rep never mentioned that I could keep my existing unlimited data plan. Would I only be allowed to do so if my previous phone was also a smartphone? Doesn't quite make sense to me. Any information you all have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

We are both 34 and had a child from a previous relationship.In 2008, we had our 1st daughter together, and it was a wonderful year. However, close to the time she was to turn 1, we were not getting along, as his son had made false allegations to his mother during one of his visits with her and CPS was called, and I was mortified that my ex blamed his son's mother entirely, instead of trying to get to the root of the problem and the reason why he lies. It was horrible to go through, and I was worried sick at the thought of losing my children, when an 11 year old with no marks could make such crazy allegations involving my ex, his cancer stricken father and mother, as well as myself. I was so worried that if this could be so easy for him to do, that he could say anything, and I could risk losing my daughters. However, instead of getting him counseling, he just let it go, he has always been pive, and simply blamed the mother. To be honest, if I were her, I would have done the same thing. I never liked how my ex treated his son's mother, was always very short with her, and I always felt that he should have open communication, especially to avoid something like this in the future. 2 days after the CPS incident, I found out I was pregnant, and I decided to stick it out. My daughter spent 7 weeks in the NICU, total shock and was heart-wrenching. My ex went a total of 3 times. We both are far from perfect, but he is extremely lazy. We both work full time, however, I was always the one to take care of the children, he did not help out much. We did have many good times though. About 5 months ago, I just had enough. It was like he was a boarder in my home. He would come home from work and go straight to the bedroom to watch his Spanish soaps. It felt like the only help was financial. We needed a bigger home, and very soon to closing, we had another bad argument and he left. About a month later, he asked me back and said he was willing to go though counseling, anything, because he knew what he wanted and that he loved me and wanted his family. At the time, I had been talking to an old friend, and it felt good to have someone who was so helpful around, and communicative. I am not a liar, and never have been, so I told my ex no, and that out of respect for him, I was seeing someone, very casually, but I felt he should know. Now, I feel like that may be the biggest mistake of my life. In his eyes, another man is the absolute worse thing you can do to him....he can handle anything else but that. It took a couple months, but we ended back up on speaking terms...and he admitted to me that he cried and how hurt he was and that he loved me but was not in love with me, also he was seeing someone else, but that I would never be replaceable. I was hurt, I wondered who she was. He is in law enforcement and I helped him with every single paper to earn his BA. I figured she would be this beautiful, cly woman. She ended up being a trashy, unemployed 21 year old, with kids by a 55 year old man. As soon as I found out who he was seeing, he stopped all contact-he went a month without paying any support, answering my calls, or texts, nothing. I was in total shock. I had no choice but to take him to court. I know he is absolutely furious that he has to pay the amount he does. At the hearing for visitation, he actually brought the girl with him! She would not look at me, even though she had went to my friend's daughter's job to "relay" messages to me such as I would never get him back, and that sort of kiddie stuff. I could not believe he would condone this behavior. Even more upsetting, I recognized her. His brothers stepdaughters friend, she had been at the house one time. So, I wondered, how long had this been going on! So, to make a long story short, I am leaving a lot out. He doesn't communicate with me at all, apparently he is not allowed to. I believe she has her phone set up that when he gets an email from me, she immediately reads it and deletes it, he had his first visit Monday, I had emailed him twice and text him and asked if he needed me to supply diapers and provided the sizes. He never responded. He picks them up from daycare, as I DO work. He called me furious wanting to know their sizes, and I told him, I emailed you 2x and text you, are you not getting them? I would have gladly supplied them! This is so crazy! I get a text back, from her, I know how he speaks, saying its ok, I got their diapers. Drop off was wonderful. He pulled up with her in her car..and dropped them off in the doorway like packages. I was at CHURCH the other day and I was working with the little kiddies and I left the room for a second to use the bathroom so I left my purse unattended not thinking much of it. How can i fix my galaxy s vibrant?

I tried to update My phone from 2.2 to 2.2.1 using odin3, when my phone rebooted it started up normally then just shut off. I'm unable to put the phone into download mode or recovery. It is not like we can give you permission or the carnival people have to take what someone or anyone from Y/A has to write about it. When he starts Boot Camp his Drill Instructors will give him about 2-5 minutes to call home to let you know he made it there alright and maybe give a mailing address. After he has been there for a few weeks he will be able to call about once a week. Usually if he trys to call and you are not there, the DI's will let him keep trying. They do this so they don't have worried family members calling and bothering the commander.

Why is it that mothers have no recourse when it comes to domestic violence and mistreated sons?

My son has a domestic violence charge against him due to the fact that he is diabetic and got left at home for 5 hrs with no food by his domestic partner while babysitting their daughter, When she got home she knew his sugar would be bottomed out and he was trying to leave to go get food because he could tell his sugar was going to bottom out she jumped on top of him in the drivers seat only to get her clothes that she had just bought to go out that night. He then pushed her off of him because he needed food and an off duty cop was standing there and he went to jail. She got an order of protection only so she could peacefully have a new boyfriend and come to find out she was cheating on him for years. Now I know there are legitimate problems out there when it comes to domestic violence however I do think it should be evaluated on a case by case basis. Because If she had just been honest and broke it off and told him she had someone else and he didn't have to catch her in their bed maybe he wouldn't have been put in the position he was put in. And while I know its his responsibility to control his anger she has lived with him 5 yrs and is very aware of low blood sugar symptoms. She set him up and 10,000 later she ruined his life I don't get to see my grandchildren or my son because he was so depressed after she had him fired he left. He is 29 and homeless at this point because she got the home, I talk to him on the phone but I don't know where he is at. It is very depressing to lose your grandchildren and cant see your son while she goes on with her happy life. His daughter was what he lived for. I am so sad and depressed HELP I miss my family

Dying Hair Brown Over Bleach blonde?

Okay so i bleached my hair a few days ago, now i've conditioned it the body is repaired, the ends are split (but once its all finished dyed I'm getting about half an inch off my hair anyway) I'm aiming to go a light brown. I added a pack dye of caramel which darkened the blonde from platinum to a middle blonde, my under layers were originally black and after bleaching went a copper colour. I dont mind as long as it all goes brown the underlayers can be a darker brown thats fine. So my question is to achive a light brown do I choose a hair colour that is slightly darker than the colour I want as the blonde will make it fade over the washes? And then later redye my hair frequently with the shade I want?

Kiddie pools and dogs?

I found some old wiring in my garage. Is this copper wiring and what is it worth?

My house was built in 1906. I was going through my garage that was built around the same time, and found the old wiring stapled to the rafters. I cut it down and torn the sheathing off. Is this copper in these wires or did they use something else. It is hard to tell but when cut in half it looks like copper, but length wise it has a dull metal look to it. I hooked up my radio scanner wrong and it smoked?

i have a radio scanner i got at a yard sale and it didn't come with a power cable. so i cut off an old power adapter to plug it in the scanner ( scanner worked when i pluged it in the wall before cutting wire) i hooked it up to my car thinking the lines that looked like the negitive symbol on the one wire was the ground and it smoked..... now it doesn't work.. is it fixible at all because i really really want to listen to the coppers in my car. its a uniden bear tracker

Are these side-affects of Dexedrine?

Okay so I have tried Phocalin, Daytrana, Straterra, and now Dexedrine. I have had the worst side affects on all of these and they either make me completely zoned out, or I am just super irritable. I am not overdoing the dose on the Dexedrine I am on a kiddie dose of 20mg. My psychiatrist is trying to determine if I have ADHD(diagnosed in 2nd grade), extreme anxiety, and depression or if it is Bi-polar.. She is putting me on this because she wants to see how I respond to ADHD treatment since it is easier to treat then Bipolar and if it doesn't work out she will look into the Bipolar. Since I have started taking it I am extremely nauseous(taken with food!), dizzy to the point of almost falling over, horrible headaches, my anxiety is through the roof insane, not hungry all day, and I am both sad(I feel like crying for no reason), some-what zoned out, but still have my hyperactivity too. It doesn't make any sense!

Need some advice about a guy.?

Not too long ago some friends of mine and I went to Cancun for a destination wedding. While there I met a guy who's actually from my hometown and who knows one of my friends. We hit it off! At the reception he stared at me from across our table and would smile when our eyes met, we made each other laugh, and we even slow danced. While we were dancing he just kept gazing into my eyes with this silly smile on his face, it got so intense for me that I had to look away. Also while we were dancing he asked me why I refused to dance with anyone else I couldn't answer his question I changed the subject. When the song we were dancing to ended he hugged me and walked me back to our table. At that point I figured that that was a thanks for the dance hug. Then after the reception when we were all saying our goodbyes he stuck out his hand for me to shake and when I placed my hand in his he pulled me in for a tight hug. I was the only female he hugged. Now back in the States, I had dinner with him the other night where he proceeded to try to take pictures of me. He was very sweet and attentive (for the first half of the night), occasionally brushing up against me, and showing me all the pictures he took in Cancun. Then I'll be damned if he doesn't sit his *** in front of the tv and play with his phone. I know he wasn't texting anyone because he showed me his phone, he was buying apps for his phone! WTF? Every now and then he would look up at me and smile. But when I was ready to leave he didn't even get up to say goodbye, he just reached out his hand for a shake and that was it. This guy is really confusing and I could of sworn he liked me but now I don't know. I spoke to my friend about him and she said that his ex fiance got pregnant by another guy, and that she just had the baby. He's stationed elsewhere so he'll be leaving soon and it breaks my heart that that's how he left it. What happened? Why the 180? He asked me to friend request him on facebook and I did so we're now friends, but for what? Is he actually gonna keep in touch or did he just want to add yet another friend? I'm so confused and a little hurt, does this guy like me or was he just mind f*#@ing me?

I grew up with computers since childhood and I always encounter this strange thing. Almost all companies copy from Apple. When people talk about Apple they say it is a cool and cutting edge company unlike others. Although I accept they are overpriced but their products are comparable to none. First Apple incorporated GUI in their computers and Microsoft stole the idea and sold their software to every other computer manufacturers. Apple was the ones who actually first invented personal computers. If Microsoft had not bought DOS from TIm Paterson from Seattle Computing, IBM would have never competed with Apple. When we get to new products, Apple first brought the iPod and all companies like Sony, Samsung, LG, Zune, Creative and so on started to copy and entered their market. Wen it comes to phone, after Apple released iPhone many companies like Sony, Samsung, HTC, Blackberry and so on copied and entered the phone market. Now I see a lot of tablet pads from Samsung, Dell, LG, T-Mobile, Motorola, Toshiba, Acer, Asus compete with the legendary iPad. Why are all these companies copying instead of pursuing an innovative business or technological strategy.

In need of help saving a mightily awesome, old, mive fir tree!?

OK, so in my garden I have this fir tree. It's been there since before I was born, and it's around 70ft tall. It's awesome. Problem is, the roots are starting to get dangerously close to a sewage pipe that runs under my lawn, and my parents have been told that the tree should be cut down, or we're gonna have some expensive sewage repairs/modifications to pay for in a few years time. Now, I've been looking online and I've found some ideas that could help (the one about inserting a pipe filled with hot water and copper sulphate (I think it was) into the trouble area sounded like the most promising), but I was wondering if anyone had any other ideas. We can't cut the roots because many of them will run deep below the surface and require us to dig up the whole garden, only to have them grow back in a few years time. PLEASE HELP ME SAVE THE TREE!!!

How to stop my husbands ex wife's slander?

My husbands ex wife has been making awful statements about him on a social network. They have been apart for 3 years and divorced for 2 and she just can't leave him alone. They have two children together, so there is no way to simply ignore her. She makes statements such as he is a deadbeat father who never wants his kids around, and lately has been making haring statements about our unborn child and our relationship. She says things such as he will walk out on us and go impregnate a new wife, and that my child will be all messed up because we are his parents. I have her blocked simply so I don't have to look at any messages from her, however she puts this stuff everywhere on different peoples pages so everyone in the world looks at it. Today she did the post that the father is a deadbeat thing because he won't take his kids, while we were in a meeting with his army recruiter trying to better his life and career for them and us. It's not even one of his days, she just wants to go out and can't afford a sitter. This is getting painful, and annoying. Picking on my unborn son has crossed my line. We are getting phone calls from friends about these statements she is making. I can't talk with her, and neither can my husband because she is so out of control and unreasonable, she just posts more afterwards. Oh, also she never uses our names, she hints at who we are ( everyone knows what she means) so I don't think I can get her with slander or defamation of character. Does anyone know if this can be stopped or how???

Over protected boyfriend. What should I do?

okay so i've been dating this guy for 7 weeks today, and well he is really protected (at least that what i think it is) and its kinda of annoying. for example i was on the phone early when he called i told him i was talking to my best friend and that i would call him later and when i did call him back he was like, "if you don't mind me asking, who were you talking to?" and i told him. another time was when i was over at his house and asked when we broke up the 2nd time (this is the 3rd time we are dating) if there was anybody i like when we broke up the second time. i couldn't lie to him and i told him yes. then he asked who, and i told him you wouldn't know him, but he wouldn't give up till i told him. then he told me, "i couldn't even thing of you with another guy." then he told me, "even if we did break up i wont know what to do if i saw you with another guy." one last example is i had this really good guy friend and we use to talk and my boyfriend is always asking if me and my guy friend talk. and i've told him it's been months since we talk, yet he still asks. i find his over protectiveness annoying, would you? i don't know what to do, i mean i like him (i think) but its just so annoy and i feel like i have no privacy. what should i do? and if you question the (i think) its just i kinda like some other guys at my school and yet im dating him so i don't really know were i stand on our relationship. so any and all help would be great, thank!!!

so heres how i came to the strawberry blonde stage..i dyed my hair red with blonde highlights a few times and got sick of it fading so i decided to just go back blonde i bought a very light shade of blonde and put it all over and it turned my high lights gray and did nothing to the red so then i went to the salon bc i had no idea how to fix that mess and she said i couldnt go blonde from the red i was at so she dyed me a mocha brown well the brown washed away and i was left again with the red so i put an all over blonde on it again and now i have a strawberry blonde..i was going to bleach it but i am worried it would turn a orange or a bright yellow. ive made many mistakes with my hair and have learned what bleach can do but i also heard that if i bleach it and it turns orange to use a green based dye and if its to yellow use a violet based dye..just any advice or tips will help :) thanks

A natural way to prevent mosquitoes in a kiddie pool?

Is there something natural and not harmful to kids that we can put in the kiddie pool to prevent mosquitoes and other bugs from using it as a breeding ground? Like lavender oil or something like that? It's just an inflatable kiddie pool, about 4 x 6 feet in size. We're hoping to not have to empty it out each time they use it so the sun can warm up the water.

Why would my phone line work but not my DSL?

It had been working fine for years. But one morning I woke up and the DSL was just not doing anything. It's in the same jack and the equipment was all replaced and confirmed to be in working order. When I unplug the phone and run a line from the jack directly to the modem, it doesn't acknowledge that it's plugged in at all. I singed up for AOL and have that going directly to my PC and that is working, but it's seems even slower than dial-up usually is. It's been three months and no one seems to have a clue and I'm getting quite desperate. Any help would be very much appreciated.
