Fun water game ideas for a water loving dog?

If you have a water-loving dog like mine, taking your pup to lakes, reservoirs, creeks, or any dog-friendly water source is fun enough for a dog. I usually throw a tennis ball or a stick continuously into the water and my dog will swim after it until she drops! There are even some outdoor swimming pools that will allow dog owners to bring their dogs about a week after summer swim season has ended. If you're looking for water activities just for the kiddie pool, if your dog fetches, you can buy heavy dog toys (which don't float) to throw in the pool for your dog to retrieve. It's challenging and fun for your pup on those hot days! =)
