How should I deal with suburbia?

I live in a small, safe, clean, family friendly suburban town in Michigan. But even though I have a great life here, and I really do appreciate what I have, I dislike it. I long for culture. And there is nothing here but yuppies. I really wish I lived in the city or someplace were the kiddies have better things to do than sports and petty drinking/drugs. Sure I've meet a few good people, but most of them just want to get laid, make money, and take drugs/drink. No one cares. But I'm just in high school and dying to get out of here and actually live. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to pull through and make it out of high school alive?
