How to get a strawberry/copper blonde to a light shade of blonde?

so heres how i came to the strawberry blonde stage..i dyed my hair red with blonde highlights a few times and got sick of it fading so i decided to just go back blonde i bought a very light shade of blonde and put it all over and it turned my high lights gray and did nothing to the red so then i went to the salon bc i had no idea how to fix that mess and she said i couldnt go blonde from the red i was at so she dyed me a mocha brown well the brown washed away and i was left again with the red so i put an all over blonde on it again and now i have a strawberry blonde..i was going to bleach it but i am worried it would turn a orange or a bright yellow. ive made many mistakes with my hair and have learned what bleach can do but i also heard that if i bleach it and it turns orange to use a green based dye and if its to yellow use a violet based dye..just any advice or tips will help :) thanks
